Stay On The Line When On An Emergency Call

When you find yourself in the middle of an 911 emergency call, you might be on the verge of panic.

You could be the victim of an injury or attack.

You may have witnessed something traumatic.

During an emergency call, you’ll often find yourself in a dire situation and it may concern someone that you love.

It will be tense and emotions will be high, but you need to remember one of the most important rules for an emergency call: stay on the line.

It’s All About Location When Making an Emergency Call

The first priority in the event of a 112, 999, 911 call is getting emergency services to you as promptly as possible.

When you stay on the line, it allows the emergency call dispatcher to pinpoint your exact location.

If 911 calls, 999 emergency calls, and contacts made to the 112 emergency number are made from a mobile device, it could take more time to make sure the proper authorities are contacted.

It’s important to find first emergency responders from the locale for a speedy response.

When you stay on the line with the emergency call dispatcher, you can provide vital information to get the help you need.

It’s all About the Details

During a 112, 999, or 911 emergency call, as emergency services head your way, the dispatcher needs the specifics to ensure you get the right kind of assistance.

The same holds true regardless of location, whether you are calling the 112 emergency number or making a 999 emergency call.

The emergency call dispatcher will attempt to get as much information from you as possible to allow first responders to be better prepared to do their job.

For example, if you’ve made a 911 call about a heart attack victim, paramedics will know exactly what they can expect.

The same can be said of a person who is experiencing a severe allergic reaction to tree nuts.

It’s all about Giving you Support

When there is a need for emergency services in a 112, 999, or 911 emergency, you do not want to feel like you are alone.

You want to know that someone is trying to help you.
